Privacy Policy

The short version

Your save-file contents stay on your device. The editor reads them with the FileReader API and processes them in browser memory; the editor does not upload or store those contents. The site does load third-party analytics and advertising services, which process the site-usage data described below.

What we process (and what we don't)

When you open a save file, your browser reads it locally so the editor can display and modify values like money, items, and story flags. When you download the edited file, it is generated in your browser too. You can verify this yourself: open your browser's network tools while you edit, or disconnect from the internet after the page loads — everything keeps working.

We do not require an editor account. Microsoft Clarity, Google, and their service providers may process device and usage information, cookies, IP addresses, and online identifiers when their services load. Those services are separate from the editor's local handling of save-file contents.

Advertising and Google AdSense

We may use Google AdSense to display and measure advertising on this site. Third-party vendors, including Google, may place and read cookies on your browser or use web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers to collect information as a result of ads being served.

Google and its advertising partners may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services in Google's partner-sites privacy notice.

You can visit Google Ads Settings to manage or opt out of personalized advertising. You can also visit YourAdChoices to opt out of some third-party vendors' uses of cookies for personalized advertising.

Analytics

To understand how visitors use this site, we use Microsoft Clarity, an analytics service from Microsoft that records browsing sessions and generates heatmaps of clicks, scroll position, and page interactions. Clarity may process device and usage data, cookies, IP addresses, and online identifiers for measurement. Sensitive text is masked in session recordings. Save-file contents are processed locally by the editor and are never sent to Clarity. See Microsoft's Clarity privacy statement for details.

Consent for visitors in Europe

Where required, visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland will be shown a consent message before personalized advertising or related storage is used. That message will identify participating advertising providers and provide controls to accept, reject, or manage available choices.

Personal information and advertising

We do not send the contents of your save file, your name, your email address, or other information that directly identifies you to Google in an advertising request. Please do not include personal information in URLs when using this site.

Sample save files

The sample saves offered on this site are static files hosted on our web server, exactly like the site's CSS and JavaScript. Downloading one is an ordinary file request; sending your own files to us is never part of how the tool works.
